Spring's Essentials: Lovely Fresh Picks

I cannot wait for warmer days and beautiful cool evenings when I can finally stroll down the street in a bright dress, summer hat, and cute sandals. The simple fact that the weather is changing brings so much joy to my heart. I am ready to shed my winter layers, worries, and fears. And for a moment, think positively about what comes next and what I can achieve. For me, wearing clothes that make me happy is the first step in ensuring that I got the energy to move forward no matter what.

Spring and summer looks are not simply about the main centerpiece like a dress, pants, or shorts with a top. I always consider other items when creating an exciting ensemble that will inspire and motivate me to be strong, happy, and resilient.

Summer Hat

Let's start with a summer hat. I think hats are excellent at pulling the looks together. Never be afraid of a hat or believe that it does not work for you. There are millions of styles for any skin color, head shape, and hairstyle.

A hat does not have to be expensive or complicated. All it needs to be is a summer hat with a brim to cover your face from the Sun.

Pro Tip: The Sun is a powerful beast that fuels live on Earth, and we love nothing less than to feel its warmth on our skin. But it will cost us dearly if we do not take precautions like shading our skin from its powerful rays.

A hat will add an extra dimension to an outfit, making it more complete and exciting. If you want more drama, go for a hat with an exciting wide brim and embroidery. If you're going to stay with classic, a typical Panama hat will do amazingly.

Pro Tip: A hat will never let you down when you have a bad hair day. Quickly brush the hair into a ponytail. You can play around with a ponytail by adding colorful hair clips or hair ties. Put on a hat, and behold, you are ready for anything! And none the wiser!

Light Top-Layer

A light layering piece is a must to keep you stylish and warm during the cooler spring mornings and evenings. It could be a blazer, jacket, or cardigan. The best colors that work well with almost anything are beige, white, off-white, and shades of brown. Going with neutral colors will ensure you are getting the most of your purchase.

If you are excited about spring and summer as much as I am, then find an exciting blazer. Color blocking, bright shades, and exciting patterns are in this year. We all crave fresh experiences, and fashion offers endless possibilities. This year every brand is tapping into its creative, rebellious reserves to give us as much excitement and joy as possible.

We are optimistic! We are full of energy and possibility! Roll with it and introduce colors into your wardrobe.

Colorful Sandals

Sandals are warm days' staple. The hot days will be here soon enough, and we all know that flip-flops are ready to go. But instead of flip-flops, think of a better alternative this year: sandals!

Fun sandals come in all shades, colors, weights, heights, and widths. There are so many options that you cannot afford not to get a pair that fits your budget and style.

Flip flops are great, but they drag an outfit down, making it less polished. Why would we want that? We want to go up, higher to experience the frills of summer. I bit dramatic. I know, but I need to make a point.

Pro Tip: Critical to remember, sandals must be comfortable. During summer, we tend to be outside more and thus walk more. Heels are fabulous if you can wear them for hours on end. But I prefer platform sandals. They give me a much-needed lift when I am wearing a long dress.

Sunblock

Sunblock is a no joke and has to be taken seriously. Whether you are afraid or not afraid of skin cancer, the Sun is a serious concern. There is no good reason not to protect yourself.

Sunscreen has many benefits starting with protecting your skin from skin cancer and sun damage.

"Regular daily use of SPF 15 sunscreen can reduce your risk of developing squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) by about 40 percent, and lower your melanoma risk by 50 percent." Skin Cancer Foundation, All About Sunscreen

Sunscreen also protects the skin from premature aging. Wrinkles and old-looking skin are often the results of sun exposure. Regularly layering SPF lotion protects you from developing dark age spots. And we all want to keep our skin as clean as possible for as long as possible.

And while some say that sunscreens are inconvenient. There are thousands of options, from lotions, sprays, to creams. You can find moisturizers with added SPF to ensure that you get a sunscreen dose with your existing routine.

Woven Handbag

Last but not least, you need a cute bag to carry your phone, mask, wallet, sunscreen, and purrel, of course. There is nothing better for summer than a woven handbag.

I love the woven details; there is something special about them. They speak the language of elegance, style, and ease.

I love their lovely colors of soft browns, delicious sand, and neutral beige. They work with every outfit but especially perfect for a beach, picnic, or brunch look.

Treat yourself to one or all of these! I know this is unlike me. But lately, I have been feeling down, and I need a pick me up. I think I will look for an exciting new dress and a woven handbag. Speaking of the bag, I've been eyeing one unique bag for a few weeks.
