July Favorites: Worthy Fashion and Beauty Essentials

Hi My Friends!

I cannot believe that the summer is almost over. It is so gorgeous outside, and my family and I thoroughly enjoy warm summer days by the pool. As I was thinking about my next post, I decided to start a new series: This Month's Favorites.

In This Month's Favorites posts, I will share with you note-worthy style and beauty discoveries. I will curate a genuine list of true-and-tried items by yours truly. Posts will include a wide range of things that I cannot live without in the current month.

And so, without further ado, let's dive into the July favorites:

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is an essential piece of my daily skincare routine. I found EltaMD UV Elements Broad-Spectrum (SPF44), and it is fantastic. It contains hyaluronic acid to boost moisture retention and diminish fine lines. In addition, it offers a perfect amount of cover/tint to give my skin a polished look. The formula sips into the skin, and it never feels heavy or greasy. The sunscreen provides a natural healthy glow while covers slight imperfections. I love it!

Sandals

I bought these at the end of the summer season in 2020: Teva's Flatform Universal Mesh Print. I figured white sandals would be a wise investment. And I have to say I was not wrong. I wear these sandals with dresses, skirts, jeans, sweats.

But they are white and hard to maintain, you say. Not at all! I wash them as soon as I see them turning grayish. I use an old toothbrush and some soap - it works like a charm.

Summer Hat

Another summer essential is a summer hat. Not only is it great for sun protection, but it is also a fantastic hair accessory. I love wearing a hat to hide not-so-fresh hair. Any outfit I create looks perfectly stylish and put together with an addition of a hat. And bonus points: no one sees my not-so-clean hair.

At the beginning of the summer season, I decided to invest in a great summer hat. I purchased Jean from the Janessa Leone brand. It is a "classic fedora style made with packable grey straw." I fell in love with this hat. It is stylish, modern, and packageable. And yes, it is a little bit pricey, but I think it is worth it.

Everyday Lipstick

I found a great everyday lipstick by Lisa Eldridge - Kitten Mischief. The color is highly versatile and buildable, holds well, and does not dry up my lips.

For additional longevity, I use a lip pencil when I am going out in the evening. I think this is a great essential lipstick to have for an everyday look.

White Cropped Tee

A white cropped tee is an absolute must-have, and I grabbed this one at Everlane. I like to roll its sleeves to give a little bit of dimension. The top is cropped at the perfect length, not too short. When I pair it with high-waisted jeans, I get a perfect look with a bit of skin showing.

Summer Dress

My absolute favorite item this summer is Zimmerman's maxi dress. I scored it on sale last Spring, and it was the best purchase I made this year. It is simple yet looks expensive and modern. I get compliments everywhere I go. It is a proper summer staple dress. I wear it with heels, flats, and sneakers.

Handbag

Last but not least, I have a summer handbag. Its polished shape offers enough structure yet retains a summer feel with a little bit of sparkle. The bag is perfect for a summer brunch, picnic, coffee date, or any daytime activity. I found the bag at the local TJ Maxi store. What can be better than a great item found at an even better price?

Side note: I wanted to share the bag's brand name, but it is not on the bag.

I hope you have enjoyed my July favorites. At the end of each month, I will share my must-have pieces and discoveries. The goal is to provide you with my honest feedback to save you time and offer fresh worthy finds.
