Wide-leg pant is one of the most classic pieces one can have in a closet. They are stylish, simple, versatile, and always in style. I love the silhouette that a wide-leg pant creates, polishing up any look, and can be paired with just about anything.
It might be intimidated to think about how to style wide-leg pants, but it is relatively simple.
The one critical rule to know is
Any top, unless cropped, must be tucked in into a wide-leg pant.
Because wide-leg pants have a lot of material swinging around your leg, the top must be tailored closer to a body, accentuating the waist.
Even though I prefer a snug top or sweater paired with the pant, an oversized blouse or sweater will also work if it is tucked in, at least at the front.
Whether you wear a snug blouse or an oversized shirt, you will never go wrong if you tuck it in.
Once you've nailed the base, you could add a sweater, cardigan, blazer, or coat. There are no wrong answers here.
The best summer look would be a light-colored top or shirt tucked into wide-leg pants.
For a fall look, we can add a blazer, vest, cardigan, or an oversized sweater.
We can pair our pants with a top or sweater under an oversized jacket or coat for a winter look.
I hope my post inspires to experiment a little.
