MERIT: Signature Lip
I am not new to Merit Beauty - it is a fantastic brand that focuses on quality and chic simplicity. The brand’s goal is to create an effortless minimalistic makeup collection that is approachable and sensible.
MERIT’s latest launch was a collection of lipsticks - Signature Lip. I purchased Millenial Signature Lip to test and review. At first, I was underwhelmed and left the lipstick in a drawer. I was not reaching for it much. It was a lovely formula, and the color was beautiful, but I did not feel it.
Yet, somehow, the lipstick happened to be in my purse, and I have started to use it daily. Once I had a chance to experience it for a few weeks, I fell in love. The formula feels very comfortable on my lips, and the color is super wearable. I apply as little or as much as I want, then lightly dab my lips with a fingertip. The formula is delicate, pigmented, and luxurious. I am so glad that I gave Merit Lip another chance. I am delighted to admit that now it is one of my favorite lipsticks.
My Colorful Friends
Since I look at my hands a lot throughout the day, how my fingers look makes a huge difference in my mood. I feel happier, more confident, and more energized if I wear a lovely polish. I know this might be silly, but it works for me.
I have a few favorite nail polishes right now, and they are all from Olive & June. These gorgeous colors bring me joy all day, every day.
And so no matter what, whether I am tired or not, I find a little bit of me-time to refresh my weekly polish. I take off the old one and take my sweet time selecting a new color to rock for another week. There is nothing quite like freshly done nails. Try it!
The Only Way I Apply Foundation
I was never a fan of applying a lot of foundation on my face, but I never knew what to do about it. Thanks to Lisa Eldridge's video: My Patchwork Skin Technique, I learned the perfect way to apply foundation.
My skin: Oily with a little bit of redness.
How I apply foundation: I start with my nose applying the product on and around my nose where I have the most uneven skin tone. Then I spread the product to my cheeks, forehead, and chin. I do not apply any product to my cheeks or forehead, only what is being carried by a brush. The transition is so gradual that I do not need to worry about where the product stops, and my skin starts.
Yes, I can still see my skin and imperfections, but I am not hiding them. All I want is to reduce the contrast and slightly improve the look of my skin. The goal is not to hide my skin but improve it with minimal effort and product.

Two Products I Cannot Live Without
How I Use It
First, I apply Luna Oil and massage it into my skin. I try to give myself a ten minutes face massage every other night if I remember. Then I follow up with A+ Retinoid Serum.
Why I Love This Combo
After I apply the two products, my skin looks plump and smooth. I also love the fantastic smell of Luna Oil.
I have been using this combo for about six months now. And I think I see significant improvements: my skin looks brighter and healthier with less redness and fewer wrinkles. I will keep these superheroes in my routine for years to come.

True Velvet Lipsticks
Lisa's True Velvet lipsticks are pure joy to wear. They have an authentic velvet feel and look. I love to roughly apply the color first and then spread the product across the lips with my fingers. The color stays put and lasts a long time even when I eat and drink. While other long-lasting lipsticks dry up my lips, Lisa's lip beauties are very comfortable on my lips during and after application.
Luxurious Lucent Lipsticks
Lisa's Luxuriously Lucent lipsticks have a slightly different feel. They are equally fabulous and have a more hydrating touch and feel. Lucent beauties do not last as long when I eat or drink, but they are easy to reapply even when I am on the go.

Beauty Items In My Bag Right Now
Friends, I think it is time to change things up a bit. Instead of long-form posts, I will start writing shorter ones depending on the topic, of course.
In this post, I will quickly cover my current go-to beauty items. Let's dive right in.
The must-have Perfecting Complexion Stick by Merit. It is highly blendable and melts seamlessly into the skin.
The go-to powder that I use to set my under eyes and the whole face is Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. It is a one-and-done powder that does not leave a powdery look.
Brow Pencil & Brow Setting Gel
I love many lipsticks and lip pencils, and it is so hard to pick one must-have. But if I am to choose, here is what they would be:
Charlotte Tillbury's Lip Cheat Pencil in Pillow Talk and Laura Mercier's Rouge Essentiel Silky Cream Lipstick in Rose Claire.
These are indeed my absolute favorite products. I love how they feel, look, wear, and last. The quality items make my collection better and worth every penny.
